NSIA 2018


The NASSCOM Student Innovation Awards promote innovation in the field of Information Technology by providing students a platform to display their talent and receive unparalleled exposure to the industry’s experts.

The seventh annual NASSCOM Student Innovation Awards is scheduled to take place in August 2018, with two winners to be selected from the pool of applicants under the categories:

  • IT Technical Innovation
  • IT Enabled Business Innovation

Both categories have the same criteria namely Innovation, Performance and Potential. Nominees have to demonstrate that their innovation is unique, provides real user benefits and has great worldwide potential. The judges may confer as many or few awards as they agree meets these key criteria.


Why should you apply?

  • Firstly, chance to present an innovative ICT idea to a panel of reputed judges and be heard;
  • Potential mentoring opportunities with member companies for all participants;
  • Awards are presented to winners at CeBIT’s ICT Celebration dinner, one of Australia’s largest ICT event; and
  • Stand a chance to win a week-long, all expenses paid for, work experience trip to India!

Submissions are open to all undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students currently studying at University OR have graduated (after July 2017), in Australia.

Students may submit their idea(s) individually or as a team. Teams can be of any size but only a maximum of two students will be allowed to conduct the presentation. Also, please note that if your team is chosen as the winner, only one student from your team will be awarded with the prize i.e. the paid trip to intern at a top IT firm in India.

All submissions must be endorsed by a faculty member of the university. Graduated students applying must also have endorsed applications.
